Carpet Cleaning: Effective Stain Removal Melbourne Techniques
In nearly every home you'll find carpeting to complete the deco. This carpet will keep your feet comfortable, cushioned and toasty as well as protect the floors. Along with this comfort come a few problems that can be vexing to any home owner. Food stains, ink stains and beverage stains can all mar the look of your new carpeting, but it doesn't have to be this way. Many stains are relatively easy to remove if you simply have the knowhow and proper cleaning equipment to remove them. If you have carpet in your home, it is smart to know these simple tips and tricks for removing the toughest stains. While most people are well aware of steam cleaning, it's smart to also have some tips and tricks to remove the various stains your carpet may be exposed to without having to resort to a huge cleaning of all the carpet.
Carpet Absorbent Technique
This trick is quick and easy and takes very little time.
You'll need to have a water spray bottle with a small amount of detergent mixed
in with it. Organic solutions will provide you with better results than non
organic solutions. Lightly spray the affected area and then blot it dry. Allow
it to dry completely and then vacuum it up.
Bonnet Method
This technique uses water with a rotating brush to moisten
the parts of the carpet that require cleaning. You simply sprinkle the water
onto the rug area. Blot the excess water with a pad and press gently on it
until most of the water is re absorbed into the cloth. Now, using the brush
clean the section completely. This works well for removing the stains and isn't
the best way to go if you're cleaning the entire carpet.
Shampoo Technique
This technique is pretty easy. You'll use either a foam
shampoo or a wet shampoo to do this one. Begin by lightly spraying the foam or
wet shampoo on the affected areas. Allow this to dry and then vacuum it up. If
there are any troublesome areas are sure to gently scrub at them with a soft
bristled brush after applying the shampoo. When you vacuum all of the dirt and
particles will be lifted out with the vacuuming action.
Steam Technique
This is by and far the most common of all methods used to
clean a carpet. Te begin, you'll need to vacuum your carpet first. Once this is
done you may then prepare the steam cleaner. Add the detergent and properly
adjust everything according to the directions. Spray the detergent (using the
wand or lever) onto your carpeting. Allow this to sit for about five to ten
minutes. Now go over it with the steam cleaner and suck the dirty stuff out of
the carpeting. Replace your water as needed and dump the dirty water as
required.
Allow the carpeting to dry completely so that it won't smell
funny. If you have an extraction vacuum you can also use that to remove the
rest of the water. Professional cleaning services have the most modern
equipment and the most up to date technology and chemicals to use.
